   The stop signs that should be removed are those which were   
   put up in violation of the law in the first place.   
      
   You may not have scores of such 3-way and 4-way stop signs   
   on 100-yard long roads like we do in California, so, your   
   state may actually be "reasonable" when they erect a stop sign.   
      
   Here, in Califronia, in my one town alone, I remember (offhand)   
   about 20 such illegal stop signs. Most Californians are fine   
   with them, simply because they don't have the passion for freedom   
   that I do, having hailed from a 13-colony state.   
      
   But having hailed from a state that lives free or dies, if the   
   people who installed the multi-way stop sign on roads that   
   have ten cars a day traveling them, then that stop sign   
   deserves absolutely no respect from me.   
      
   Of course, the cop will say "tell it to the judge", so, in the   
   end, that's where this battle will (eventually) be fought (and   
   lost).
