That's a principle our entire country was founded upon.              However, it's also our duty to work to CHANGE the laws which       are illegal. There are, it appears, based on the advice kindly       provided here, multiple ways to accomplish that.              One of the BEST suggestions was for me to go to the town       office of public works, and to ask the traffic engineer to       supply documentation as to what rationale was used to put       up those signs.              I have done that. They will get back to me since I was       only able to speak to Joanna, the clerk. But, she left       a message from me to Matthew J. Jue, the Traffic Engineer.              Interestingly, his business card has the following       titles "PE", "TE", and "PTOE".              Thanks to all of you for your advice. I certainly hope       I can obtain the desired documents, and I hope the cost       is reasonable.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
