   "fix things"?  No one thinks that will fix everything.  Remove some things to   
   reduce the number of things a driver can play with, yes.  And those are the   
   things that take more time and attention to use.   
      
   Yes, it is boring but not much more so than prior to the interstates on the   
   'good' highways. I recently signed up for a year's trial of the "in drive"   
   system (version of "snap shot")  that certainly causes one to be more aware of   
   one's driving.
