   Except that whole population studies have shown soft-shell bicycle   
   helmets [1] to be completely ineffective in reducing rates of serious   
   brain injuries and deaths.  Do we believe science or "common sense" when   
   the two conflict?   
      
   [1] Or about almost all in use.  I wear a hard-shell POC Trabec MIPS   
   when riding a push bike, as it should be much more effective than a foam   
   bicycle hat.
