   Originally my ISP dropped the binary newsgroups using that piracy and   
   porn excuse, as well as using it as a "fix" for their failing newsgroup   
   server (much less data, so the server simply took longer to fall over   
   each time) ... except they left half the piracy and porn binary   
   newsgroups still there, and deleted all the more legitimate binary   
   newsgroups. Later useless Vodafone New Zeland took over the ISP and   
   dropped newsgroups completely.
