   Basically he believed his speed (70mph on limited access highways   
   regardless of the PSL) was the best speed. He thought those who went   
   faster were maniacs and driving slower than that annoyed him. Thus he   
   opposed the 55mph speed limit but anyone doing 80mph was worthy of his   
   scorn.   
      
   Essentially a usenet embodiment of the typical american busy-body   
   control freak who wanted to have what was best for him as best for   
   everybody.
