XPost: alt.fan.rush-limbaugh, sac.politics, talk.politics.guns       XPost: soc.culture.african.american       From: racists@naacp.org              DETROIT, MI -- Since a mob of at least a dozen people beat 54-       year-old Steve Utash of Roseville to near death on April 2, he's       remained hospitalized.              Mandi Emerick, one of Utash's three children, has been posting       updates on a fundraising site for her father. The most recent       message posted on Sunday indicates Utash is still struggling to       recover.              She writes:              Everyone has been asking us for an update on our dads condition.       We are very grateful to all who have been sending cards with       kind notes and prayers for him and our family. I have been       putting off posting an update hoping that after the "next visit"       I would have some better news. But days are going by and I don't       have better news to share. He is still unable to distinguish       reality from his delusions. It is hard to explain in words what       he is talking about. And very sad for us to see him this way.              Utash remained in a coma for nine days after the attack.              Five of nearly a dozen attackers are charged in the attack,       including a juvenile.              The adult suspects on Monday were bound over to Wayne County       Circuit Court where they could face trial on charges of assault       with intent to murder and assault with intent to inflict great       bodily harm less than death.              Assault with intent to murder is a charge that carries up to       life in prison.              As of Monday, the Utash fundraising site had collected over       $180,000 from 4,400 donors.              http://www.mlive.com/news/detroit/index.ssf/2014/04/steve_utash_       victim_of_detroit.html              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
