Well, this confusion about what's the proper place of the cyclist has led to
two unintended consequences, and both are worse than giving the lane to slow
vehicles --not only bikes but all slow vehicles including skateboards,
   scooters, rickshaws and NEVs.

One consequence is that many cyclists simply ride on the sidewalk, endangering
pedestrians and themselves. Second consequence is that many tourists choose to
ride on the road unaware that drivers here have a license to kill,
   particularly due to speeding.

First thing we need to do with the revolution is implement SPEED CAMERAS. And
we won't warn drivers. Just as the government spies on people looking for
terrorists, we will be watching people for road terrorism. Drivers are
   terrorizing communities, then
the world becomes this very depressed place.

   This is happening in Pakistan:

   (I quote)

I am a middle class person living in Lahore, Pakistan.

Ok, now most of you will think that I am going to talk about some AlQaeda
guys, street gangs, mobile phone snatchers or religious fundamentalists. NO!

I am here to talk about the kids of those "big" people (who are driving big
cars with their fathers' money) and always try to terrorize everyone who is
driving on a Bike, Auto rickshaw, Bicycle or even walking. They will push you,
   will stare at you, will
sometimes abuse you but you have to bear as you are not a car owner.
