|    Against Tinted Windows    |

From: thetibetanmonkey@gmail.com              Well, I'm talking about the front windows. No tinting should be allowed.       Period! Why?              "As an avid bicyclist I cringe when I encounter these dark-tinted behemoths at       an intersection. Unable to make eye-contact, unable to see their hand       gestures, I have no way of knowing if they see me or not. A cute waitress told       me how she handles this        exact situation: She carries pennies with her when she rides her bike and       throws them at the windows or hoods of these discourteous drivers with the       dark windows. When then challenged by these irate drivers, she fires back that       she's doing them a favor        by helping them avoid a lawsuit. Personally I wouldn't advise this unless       you're really cute like she was."              http://karendecoster.com/the-police-state-hates-tinted-windows.html              ***              I got a little confession to make. Influenced by my girlfriend, who's worried       about her safety, I gave in and had the front windows tinted. Then I thought       today of this scenario as a cyclist, where you play a gamble because there's       no eye contact, and        the tinted windows are going. Sure, it's pretty dark in the back but that       protects my belongings without affecting my driving.               We philosophers are always looking for the light.               --------------------------------------------------              "The jungle has never been this much fun!"              https://docs.google.com/document/d/1nffbCR_uCZ6znjf3gLiFRXSAoLzh       toZ6U4S7Y37aKc/edit?usp=sharing              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
