I have a supermarket 5 blocks aways and SOMETIMES I roll my cart. But I rather
bike to the other one in the next community because it gives me a good riding
distance of 2 miles. That's 4 miles R/T, around half an hour ride on back
   streets.

It may be argued that you eat fresh by going more often and just getting what
you need. The supermarket in my community has a large cafeteria with seating
area and Internet. They don't mind you use the Internet the whole day but the
   signal is rather weak.
Anyway you get out and do something. Monkey out of the cage, right?
