   I'm not surprised that the Chinese --of all people-- want to get rid of the   
   bicycle as a symbol of repression. They are also struggling with gigantic   
   traffic jams and polluted air.   
      
   Taiwan uses the scooter as a smarter option. Take into account that in the   
   mountains the bicycle can become too much struggle.
