XPost: houston.general, alt.politics.republicans, alt.fan.rush-limbaugh       XPost: sac.politics, talk.politics.guns       From: yourdime@outlook.com              A man suspected of aggressive, reckless driving was hospitalized after       being shot multiple times.              Houston Police Lieutenant Willkens says the shooter fired at the man after       he brake-checked him and blocked his vehicle in the roadway while he had a       pregnant female passenger in the car.              No charges have been filed against the shooter at this time.              HOUSTON - A man accused of driving recklessly in northeast Houston was       shot multiple times in self-defense, according to police.              Houston police say the man, in his mid-40s, is in the hospital and       expected to survive. He was shot in the torso, arm, and leg, officials       say.              McCarty Street shooting              The backstory              Houston Police Department Lieutenant Willkens reports the man was driving       recklessly in a pickup truck on the 610 Loop around 9:30 p.m. Friday       night.              He was swerving through lanes and at one point focused on a vehicle which       had a man in his early 20s driving with a pregnant female passenger.       Willkens reports the man started brake-checking the vehicle.              In an attempt to get away from the truck, the young man in the vehicle       exited off 610 Loop on to North McCarty Street, officials said.              The truck followed them and started yelling threats at the two in the       vehicle. Police say the man started driving in the wrong way of traffic,       turned, and blocked the car from going anywhere.              Lt. Willkens states the aggressive driving male got out of the truck,       approaching the vehicle with his hands near his pockets.              Fearing for his life, the younger male, who was a former security guard,       fired shots in self-defense at the man through his front windshield and       side window, police state.              Get news, weather and so much more on the new FOX LOCAL app              Once he was down, the young man in the vehicle got out to handcuff the man       and call 911.              Lt. Willkens says the driver and his passenger stayed at the scene to       cooperate with police. They were not injured, police say.              No charges have been filed at this time.              Houston Police Department Lieutenant Willkens shared information about the       shooting at the scene.              https://www.yahoo.com/news/houston-reckless-driver-shot-multiple-       191446786.html              --- SoupGate-DOS v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
