   I saw the race (ESPN - US)and they had a slow motion video of what appeared to   
   be a smallish (smaller than the wheel) disc that might have been the spyder in   
   the hub departing  the scene with the wheel leaving the image out of frame.   
   Was the hit such    
   that the spyder was destroyed to the point it separated for the  wheel rim and   
   tire assembly?    Thanks, Pat
