From: vasco.costa@invalid.invalid              The prime minister here has announced that Portugal will apply for a return       to the F1 calendar in 2027 at the Portimao track in Algarve. This comes       after four seasons without a race since the last ones in 2020 and 2021 which       were held here due to the pandemic after 24 years without a race.              This time the government seems to be serious about leveraging tourism with       the event and is ready to pay the fee. There are some question marks, like       which race it will replace or whether it will become one of those rotating       tracks, nevertheless the deal seems to be more or less secured.              What do you guys think about the track? Surely it's a nice layout in qualy,       quite popular among most of the drivers and fans. That said, the racing       wasn't stellar with either a too long or too short DRS zone. Maybe with more       time to find the ideal compromise and the 2026 rules it could also provide       great races...              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
