   Ah, that's a damn shame... I used them for a few years a while ago,   
   excellent service. Shame to see them shut it down, must have been an   
   incredibly hobbyist/niche endeavour for a long time now - maybe whoever on   
   the staff there (it's at a university, right?) was running it has reached   
   the age where they can't be doing with it/are due to retire and there's   
   no-one younger there able or willing to take it on?

   Eternal September will hopefully still be around then, and for years to   
   come! Would hate to see Usenet finally go pop and everybody give up on
