   My point exactly Indeed! The rule makers have regulated F1 into a kind   
   of Renault Clio race, where innovation and creativity is forbidden and   
   as a result overtaking became impossible.   
   No worries, the rule makers simply make more rules, like the obligated   
   parachute which drivers can "open" in certain situations so that they   
   can overtake again, then the obligated wrong tire rule.   
   No silly solution is spared to bring back some excitement that they   
   regulated away in the first place.

   No problem with regulations but they way overreached here.   
   Let the teams decide if they want a one cylinder engine or a 16 cylinder.   
   In the mean time we are "used" to the silly situation where we are now   
   but try to zoom out and you will see they regulated it to near death.

   I could be wrong but I don't think there is any team opting for a lower   
   then allowed compression ratio, but it is absolutely nuts that   
   compression ratio is in the rule book.
