   Sure, I can lose power because of lightning strikes but it comes back in a few   
   seconds or minutes.  The clock on my microwave oven drops out.  I haven't had   
   a power failure of over an hour for a few years.   
      
   I think we get even fewer of these glitches at work.   
      
   ComEd installed +ACI-smart meters+ACI for their customers.  These meters   
   report back power use and power failures by radio.  No more meter readers and   
   ComEd knows about power failures immediately, often before I do.  I know it's   
   doing SOMETHING, because    
   it's another damned RFI source.  Sheesh.
