|    Fix for CCRadio displaying broken number    |
|    14 Jan 20 09:41:56    |
I had 3-c crane radios that had the lcd panel go bad.sent the first one back       for a one time only free fix.threw another one out.just picked one up at a       estate sale $1.50 half off day the lcd panel was going out on it (cc radio       plus).found out if you take        the back cover off and the circuit board off you will see the lcd ribbon.get a       pencil with eraser and a hair dryer as you direct the heat onto the ribbon       take the eraser and press down on the ribbon board. It was very easy to take       the back off and circuit        board off.total time involved was less then 15 min. After doing this and       plugging radio in the lcd was as new with no glitches or missing digits in the       lcd display.again it was a quick and easy fix and it worked.also agree that c       crane knew of this issue        with lcd display and should of had sangean fix this problem as this radio is       very expensive.try this before you toss your unit into the trash you will be       surprised how easy the fix is.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
