   Hi marc,   
   I was one of the engineers at Tandy Corporation that helped design the   
   DX 200 and DX 300 receivers for Radio Shack. There aren't any antenna   
   tuners in the radios, they're called pre-selectors for the receivers front   
   end. There is nothing special about them and they really are terrible   
   radios, but what we didn't know at the time was that designing the radios   
   with pre-selectors, a Shit-load of retards would still call them antenna   
   tuners.
