   I want to connect an external speaker to my ICOM 718.    I purchased a 1/8"   
   (3.5mm) Mono Male to stripped end cable.   the cable does not go all the way    
   into the jack?   The manual says this is the jack to purchase:  external   
   speaker connector 2-   
   conductor 3.5 (d) mm (1⁄8ʺ) /8Ω.  Am I doing something very basically   
   wrong?
