It isn't true; it is an artifact of those who are desperate to want to
   shout out insults every day.

It is also evidence of stalking me from another NG for 4X4 drivers.

At the time I was referring to the use of CB radio in green lane convoys
   which,
in muddy and intractable terrain, surrounded by woodland, might be spread
   out over a 1/4 mile.

On hilltops in the Cotswolds, communication was over tens of miles, even
   though it was not
needed, or not even wanted for a close-together group of vehicles.

CB radio is not amateur radio and for local use in convoys , DX working is
   irrelevant.
