   With difficulty. I remember hearing him calling on 2 and thinking "This   
   clown's 'avvin a laff". Then someone who knew him answered and his   
   situation became apparent. IIRC he was living in the Leonard Cheshire   
   home at the time. I felt thoroughly ashamed of myself for having such   
   thoughts.
