   Pity for you.  But here in Europe we did not have that band segment for   
   many decades.  70cm is 430-440 here in the Netherlands and even in that   
   band there are subbands that are unusable (ISM band) and others that   
   are secondary and where the primary service is quite active.   
      
   In other European countries entire 1 or 2 MHz segments are not available,   
   in some countries the band starts at 432 and ends at 438 or even 436.
