   There may well be an element of exam technique.   To be honest, my   
   generation would probably have had a harder time learning how to do   
   multiple choice than the current generations would have had learning to   
   do essay questions;   but in either case a  bit of practice with the   
   books and sample answers should have been enough.   
      
   The FL makes AR accessible to the less academic, less knowledgable or   
   less motivated.  At the same time, it makes the whole hobby a lot less   
   attractive to some of  the more academically inclined.  While we (or   
   some of us) can see why this is necessary, it is a definite change.
