Earth from the Sun, the Moon, the night side of the Earth, above any
location on the planet specified by latitude, longitude and altitude, from a
satellite in Earth orbit, or above various cities around the globe.

In addition to the Earth, you can also view the Moon from the Earth, Sun,
night side, named formations on the lunar surface, or as a map showing day
and night. You can also make expert and custom images of the Moon.

A related document compares the appearance of the Moon at perigee and
apogee, including an interactive Perigee and Apogee Calculator.

   Fram2 set MANY a record.

One of note, Fram2 Astronaut Rabea Rogge, LB9NJ/KD3AID conducted the
first Amateur Radio Contact from SpaceX Dragon.

Another of the firsts, the first crewed mission to do polar orbits of the
Earth, and Rogge became the first German woman in space. Rogge used a
battery powered Icom IC-705 aboard the flight. She sent SSTV images on
437.550 MHz for a youth amateur radio competition called Fram2Ham.
Images from polar regions that had been broken into digital puzzle pieces,
   which students assembled.

The mission, which was funded and commanded by cryptocurrency billionaire
Chun Wang saw strong participation from the amateur radio community.
The Live OSCAR Status Page on the AMSAT web site received a record
496 reception reports, more observations than any other spacecraft in a
4-day period since the page's inception.

Although several operators attempted to receive signals during the re-entry
phase, none succeeded, as the capsule entered a plasma blackout. Still,
engagement across the amateur radio world was described as historic.

Fram2 was organized and funded by Chun Wang, a Malta-based cryptocurrency
entrepreneur originally from China, who also served as the mission
commander. He was joined by Rogge, Norwegian cinematographer Jannicke
Mikkelsen as vehicle commander, and Australian polar explorer Eric Philips
as mission specialist and medical officer. The team conducted 22 research
experiments in orbit, including medical imaging, materials testing
   and biological studies.

As the first crewed mission to reach a 90-degree orbital inclination,
Fram2 provided rare views of polar auroras and remote Arctic landscapes.
For Wang, the mission fulfilled a childhood curiosity about the polar
regions; for the broader space community, it demonstrated how private
spaceflight can combine scientific research, technical innovation and
public outreach-including a successful amateur radio experiment that brought
signals from orbit to Earthbound listeners around the globe.

More information can be found on fram2ham.com.

   (arrl letter/amsat news)
In orbit, there are about 65 satellites and these are owned by seven of the
   11 countries in Southeast Asia.

Indonesia initially formed the National Institute of Aeronautics and Space
(LAPAN) in 1963, which was later consumed by research-focused BRIN, and then
in 2022, the country established the Indonesian Space Agency, mostly focused
   on space policy.

To date, no astronaut from Indonesia has made it to space despite the 1985
selection of an Indonesian payload specialist for NASAs Space Shuttle
mission STS-61-H, which was eventually cancelled after the Challenger
   disaster.

Indonesia, as an archipelago of 17,508 islands, offers multiple equatorial
flight paths over low-to-no population zones. There have been multiple
proposals to construct a spaceport on 500 hectares of government land on
Biak Island, and the site has been used for sounding rocket flights and
engine tests since 1965. Indonesia has sought to attract SpaceX as well as
several space-faring nations; however, foreign investment has not been
   secured.
