transmissions in the area of Africa south of the equator during local
daylight hours. The Australian HF band plan for 10 MHz states,
The current band plan has telephony from 10,120 to 10,135 MHz.
And VKers can use the frequency 24 hours a day.

Because of an FT8 frequency, it is recommended that 10,120 to 10,130
   be used for phone.

So the challenge? who will be the first South African amateur to make
a phone QSO with an Australian amateur on 30 metres?

   Lets start calling them!

   OPERATIONAL NEWS - A FELIX VK4FUQ PRESENTATION

Expect improved operations soon from ClubLog, thanks to some grant money
to cover the costs. Reporting on NewsLine here's Jeremy Boot G4NJH with
   the details.

ClubLog, a service that has become a mainstay for DXers worldwide, has
received an $8,000 grant in US currency for a hardware upgrade to improve
operations. The funding from the Northern California DX Foundation is
being given to Michael, G7VJR, ClubLog's author. In a DX foundation press
release, ClubLog reminded users that the expensive upgrade of its servers is
necessary to support expanded activity. Michael said: [quote] "...once the
new servers are deployed, Club Log will be using cutting edge servers which
are faster, more energy efficient and ready for years of high-endurance 24/7
   work. " [endquote]

According to a press release from the DX foundation, the free ClubLog
statistics service supports an estimated 130,000 callsigns worldwide and
stores records of 1.25 billion QSOs.

time, conditions were excellent on the low bands across Australia
resulting in good contacts with QRP stations, and distant neighbours ZL and
   VK6 Operators.
