Its launch aboard an ISRO spacecraft on the 30th of July from the       Satish Dhawan Space Centre, sent it on its mission to send microwaves to       collect data from different surfaces on the planet. When processed, the data       will be visible in an exceptionally high resolution. An estimated 80       terabytes of data will be collected daily. Scientists have said that the       method has [quote] "unprecedented accuracy." [endquote] Researchers and       governments around the world will be able to view the data via a cloud       platform where they will have open access.                     This is Jim Meachen ZL2BHF.       The project is being praised as the first collaborative satellite mission of       its kind between the Indian and US space agencies.                     WW SPECIAL INTEREST GROUPS - IOTA       iota-world.org/       --------------------------              AF-032 Zanzibar Island.              5 H 1 UM from Zanzibar Island, IOTA AF - 032, 12 - 24 August.              5H1UM is operating on 80 - 6m, including WARC Bands, Holiday style,       CW, SSB and of course FT8.              dxnews.com/5h1um/              --------              SA-084 Playa Blanca Islands.              Renato, PY8WW reports that after over a year of planning and persistence, hes       thrilled to announce an upcoming expedition to the rare IOTA group of SA-084.       The activation is scheduled for a short window between November 1216, 2025,       on Playa Blanca Island, located within Colombias Pacific National Park.                     While the callsign is still pending approval from Colombian       telecommunications authorities, Renato informs the process is underway.       Securing authorization from the National Park has been one of the most       challenging aspects of this project, he says, but can report that things are       finally moving forward.                     dx-world.net/activation-of-playa-blanca-island-sa-084/              ---------------              OC-002 CHRISTMAS ISLAND              VK 9 QO October 3-7, 2025 on 40-6m; CW, SSB, RTTY, the FT modes and       Satellites QO-100 and RS-44.              HF / VHF QSL via JI 1 LET.       SAT QSL via JA 3 GEP.              (DX-WORLD)       ---------------              OC REMINDERS-----------       ----------              OC-013              Steve, ZL2KE has been active from Rarotonga as E 51 KEE during       August, 3-18 to be exact.
