   I saw it on the newsgroup last night, and tried to respond to it, but   
   the news group went off-line at that point, and I went to bed.   
      
   I've now responded to the content further down the thread.   
      
   I compared the AD9500 unfavourably with the MC10198 ECL monostable with   
   an external DAC which I had used earlier. Motorola had dumped the   
   MC10198 by 1987, much to my disgust.
