   I have a 48 volt power supply that can be back-driven.   
      
   I need a shunt regulator to limit the voltage but don't have room for   
   mosfets and heat sinks. This dumps the power into a couple of those   
   stand-up 5-watt ceramic resistors, which can dump 10 watts each with   
   some air flow. Actually, they can run red hot.   
      
   That's a SOT-23 fet.
