   John hasn't bothered to tell us that, but GaN fets are fast, and you can   
   use them to run your inverters at several MHz, if you can find ferrites   
   that are resistive enough to tolerate these frequencies.   
      
   He's not fond of wound components that he can't buy of the shelf,   
   perhaps because he'd have to learn about that kind of detail if he   
   wanted to get special purpose parts wound.
