|    Replacements for tube style monitor flyb    |

From: jrr@flippers.com              I've run into a problem - replacement flybacks for a popular monitor       from the 1970s used in video games is discontinued. So now I'm in a       situation where we either junk the monitors and replace with LCD or       figure out a way to generate the various voltages (up to 23KV!) needed       to run these monitors.              The picture tube (19VJTP22) specs are:              Heater 6.3V       Anode Voltage 30kV (no one ran them at 30kV!) 20 - 24kV was typical)       Cathode Voltage 125V       Focus Voltage 5000/6000V       Max G2 Voltage 675V              Not sure of the current requirements yet. Hard to find that data online       so far...              The DC source is 120VDC max 1.25A.              Ideas? I am first considering finding other flybacks with similar       characteristics that could be fitted in using an adapter PCB to fix the       pinouts, the other alternative is HV work...              Thanks,              John :-#)#       --       (Please post followups or tech inquiries to the USENET newsgroup)        John's Jukes Ltd.        #7 - 3979 Marine Way, Burnaby, BC, Canada V5J 5E3        (604)872-5757 (Pinballs, Jukes, Video Games)        www.flippers.com        "Old pinballers never die, they just flip out."              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
