   You might visually inspect the motherboard to see if there are any   
   signs of gross component damage.   
      
   pinholes in graphic processor chip bodies   
   bulging electrolytic capacitors   
   normal supply voltages/ripple (inspect power supply internally)   
   loose connectors.   
      
   remove, clean and reseat anything in a socket.   
      
   try booting from a removable disc.
