|    Macsyma 2.3 in the modern world?    |
|    22 Jun 14 10:24:24    |
From: jbb@notatt.com              I'm in the process of building some Win 7 Pro 64 bit machines and am       wondering if anyone has tried using Macsyma 2.3 in this environment. I'm       curious about both a straight install and/or running it through the XP       simulator. Has anyone any experience that they can share with me? I       think that Macsyma has some 16 bit DOS parts that might get in the way       with it even in 32 bit modes.              I know about and use Maxima and believe that it's probably a better       choice for work in the modern world but there is nostalgia to honor.       There's something nice about Macsyma in that it reminds us how much and       how good things were a long time ago.              Thanks fort any information you can provide.              Jeff Barnett              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
