   I would recommend dusting off your college calculus text and have Rubi show   
   the steps required to integrate some of the integration problems in the book.     
      
   As far as adding new rules to Rubi, all the Mathematica notebook source files   
   are available for downloading from the website.  These self-documenting files   
   show the rules in both human- and machine-readable format.  Since the system   
   is not monolithic,    
   rules can be added and tested in a modular fashion.  But first you will need   
   to study some of the existing rules to understand the overall design of the   
   system.   
      
   Perhaps if you submit a relatively simple integration formula you would like   
   to see incorporated into the system, I could show how to transform it into a   
   Rubi compatible rule.
