      From: fateman@cs.berkeley.edu              There's a list of 2169 integration problems in              http://www.cs.berkeley.edu/~fateman/examples.in              that were done by table lookup using Tilu, The average time was 6.5ms       on a computer (probably an HP Precision workstation) in 1996.              Many of the problems are rather simple, having been copied from       standard (printed) integral table books.              While timing on relatively esoteric problems may be a some interest,       the time averaged over a bunch of simpler (more likely, perhaps)       ones may be a better predictor of speed.              Tilu is written in common lisp, and was run as a web service for       a number of years.       RJF              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
