why in Axiom are there checks on macro first than compilation?              for example when in C I write       #define f(a) ++a       The compiler not say something on       formaly correctly of 'f(a)' and       '++a'       In the C language it change all the       text where appear f(r) and substitute with ++r       Than there are checks       in their substitution as text       (if error compiler point to       line number of the substitution)              In Axiom       macro f(a) == text(a)       Make inference on the correctness of       "tex(a)"       First of the substitution, for me       this is not a macro way...              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
