From: fateman@cs.berkeley.edu              Jan:        the source code for ratsubst is in the source file nrat4.lisp       in the maxima source tree. You can download it free.               I view it as a positive sign       that you are reading something, though reading Lisp       programs would not be my first recommendation.              It should be obvious that GB reduction and division       with remainder are different, in general. Making such       observations is not particularly illuminating.              Ratsubst does a kind of reduction by substitution of       a side relation A --> B when it can. (It also       does A^2-->B^2 etc by the same process of division).              You return to blaming me for some "conjecture" .. There isn't one.       I observed that your reported time for a task was       thousands of times slower than the time taken by Maxima.              I repeat, an observation is not a conjecture.                     13 postings in a row?              I conjecture that you are off your meds.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
