Rubi is an open-source, modular system making it relatively easy to extend its
capabilities. I have long encouraged others to do so, but to no avail. My
area of expertise is narrow, and my time finite.

Rubi demonstrates that a totally deterministic, rule-based approach to
automating large swaths of mathematics is both feasible and highly desirable.
I hope others in the math and computer algebra communities come to the same
   conclusion, and automate
their own areas of expertise using this paradigm.
