   Really, the point of Ackermann's function is to relate to the   
   time or space complexity for computing it.  Not actually   
   computing it.  Though there are some people who have proposed   
   using Ackermann's function as some kind of benchmark, this is   
   unlikely to be a useful measure. Instead there are many more kinds of   
   benchmarks modelled (more or less) along the lines of typical   
   calculations 'in practice'.
