   41-21-107 - Criminal offenses.   
      
   § 41-21-107. Criminal offenses.   
       
      
   Any person who conspires unlawfully to cause, or unlawfully causes, any person   
   to be adjudicated in need of treatment or as incompetent or to be detained at,   
   or admitted to, or hospitalized in a treatment facility, or any person who   
   receives or detains    
   any person in need of treatment, contrary to Sections 41-21-61 through   
   41-21-107, or any person who maltreats any person in need of treatment, or any   
   person who knowingly aids, abets or assists and encourages any person in need   
   of treatment, to be absent    
   without permission from any treatment facility or custodian in which or by   
   whom such person is lawfully detained, or any person who violates any   
   provision contained in Sections 41-21-61 through 41-21-107 shall be guilty of   
   a misdemeanor and upon    
   conviction be fined not less than five hundred dollars ($500.00) nor more than   
   one thousand dollars ($1,000.00), or imprisoned in the county jail not   
   exceeding one (1) year, or both.
