|    KERRY SLANDERED ALL VIETNAM VETERANS    |

XPost: alt.fan.rush-limbaugh, alt.politics.republicans, alt.war.vietnam       XPost: talk.politics.guns       From: ket@gmx.com              Vietnam seems to be the primary issue being discussed now. As I       am a Vietnam veteran, perhaps I can add my own insights into the       debate.              John Kerry has made his Vietnam record the centerpiece of his       campaign. Consequently, his Vietnam record deserves full       scrutiny. In my opinion, his Vietnam record shows John Kerry to       be a liar, a coward, a traitor and a war criminal. Here are the       facts.              John Kerry lied about being in Cambodia in December 1968 or       January 1969. After a U.S. Army LCU accidentally crossed into       Cambodia and the U.S. crew was captured by the Cambodians, the       U.S. Navy set up a floating base on the Mekong River near the       Cambodian border.              I was at that U.S. Navy base in late 1968 and have photos to       prove it. I can assure you that the U.S. Navy blocked anyone       from going upriver into Cambodia because it was too touchy       diplomatically. John Kerry could not have ever been in Cambodia.              John Kerry is a coward for leaving Vietnam after only 41/2       months in country. Most of the rest of us spent 365 days in       Vietnam, and many returned for another tour.              John Kerry is a traitor for meeting with the North Vietnamese in       Paris when we were still at war with the North Vietnamese.              John Kerry is a self-admitted war criminal. He testified before       the U.S. Senate that he committed acts considered war crimes       under the Geneva Conventions. Neither I nor anyone I know who       served in Vietnam committed any such crimes under the Geneva       Conventions despite John Kerry's claims to the contrary. Yet       John Kerry slandered all Vietnam vets.              https://www.sun-sentinel.com/news/fl-xpm-2004-08-27-0408260969-       story.html              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
