   The BBC aired an interview with the woman this morning, and it was   
   fascinating.  She's simply a person born with a great sense of smell and   
   noticed the smell of her husband had changed; then noticed other   
   sufferers of Parkinsons smelled the same way.   
      
   It's extraordinary I suppose, and yet requires no leap of faith to   
   believe that diseases alter our chemical composition, which might be   
   detected.  And I agree with you about the dogs - can only assume they   
   know you've got cancer well before you know it yourself.  Now if only we   
   could get the fuzzy little buggers to let us know in time ...
