I've suffered twice from bedbugs - once personally, while
working/travelling in Indonesia (they're awful) and a second time when
my house was infected with them, courtesy of slovenly renters.

This is exactly the kind of bug whose genome will modify faster than we
can keep up scientifically. Most pests are the same, as are serious,
   infectious diseases.

... still waiting for the apocalypse!
