   This kind of thing merits a cheeky cartoon of puzzled scientists in the   
   bunker, poring over their gauges while a potbellied, hairy guy on a   
   lawnmower cruises over their heads while chomping on a cigar.   
      
   Haven't quite figured out what this place is measuring: changes in   
   earth's magnetic field?  Or something magnetic transmitted through   
   space?  I got distracted by the announcement they're now doing their   
   website in hugo, and started reading into that (I'm a sucker for simple   
   websites - drupal/joomla can suck it).
