|    Evidence of Ancient Oceans and Alien Sph    |

XPost: alt.alien.visitors, alt.misc.forteana       From: skeptix@lists.opn.org              Matthew LoffhagenMonday, 15 January 2018 - 10:10AM              For decades, scientists have speculated about the history of the planet       Mars.              While for the most part, the Red Planet is currently merely a rocky, dusty       sphere (with some interesting underground frozen glaciers), many experts       theorize that, long ago, Mars had warm oceans that would have been perfect       for the development of early life.              Now, prolific UFO spotter Scott C Waring, operator of the blog UFO Daily,       has announced the discovery of evidence that proves that Mars once held       oceanic life. Scouring photos taken by the Curiosity Rover, Waring       believes that he's spotted a pair of seashells left abandoned on the       planet's desert surface.              This isn't the only thing that Waring has found recently—the blogger also       purports to have found ancient Sphinx-like statues and buildings upon the       planet's surface, all hidden in plain sight in Curiosity's photographs.              According to Waring, the rover almost ran over these valuable shells       without giving them a second thought:                     Opening quote       "I found evidence of an ancient ocean today. The most resent [sic] load of       photos were uploaded from Mar [sic] Curiosity Rover today and I noticed       that there were two seashell-like objects within a meter of the rover."       Closing quote                     Waring is of the belief that Mars has a lot more signs of life than the       governments of Earth would have us believe - previously, he has even       claimed that the planet once played host to an advanced sentient species       of aliens that were ultimately killed off during a terrifying war that       made use of medieval technology to strip away Mars' breathable atmosphere.              Whether or not Waring actually believes all of his own theories is       difficult to tell, especially considering that he has a vested interest in       finding new evidence of aliens regularly in order to live up to his blog's       name. Ultimately, there's not much evidence to support a lot of these       theories beyond the fact that some rocks on Mars look a little bit like       other things, which is inevitable when someone is scouring every       photograph from the Curiosity Rover in the hopes of finding something that       looks identifiably familiar.              It's likely that these seashells that Waring has spotted were probably       just oddly shaped rocks. In Waring's history of searching the Martian       surface, the vast majority of odd shapes have turned out to be the result       of random rock formations, coupled with human eagerness to spot patterns       and shapes.              Nevertheless, there is still a possibility that Mars holds some secrets,       and the world may well have once had deep oceans that could have contained       alien life. Based on fluctuating methane levels on the planet, it's       possible that creatures may still live on Mars, buried deep underground.              For now, though, this is purely speculation, and no amount of guesswork       can help us to draw closer to a definitive answer as to whether or not       shellfish have ever walked on the surface of the Red Planet.              Presumably, with modern plans for a permanent Mars base, it is only a       matter of time before sea creatures make it to the planet anyway.              If any site in the solar system needs a Red Lobster, it's Mars.                                                               https://www.outerplaces.com/science/item/17517-evidence-oceans-a       ien-sphinx-statues-spotted-mars-curiosity-rover              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
