   I think the key take away here is that the creators of Star Trek cared   
   enough to base the story on basic science, including real stars... until   
   Captain Kirk decided to make out with a green alien whose green, feminine   
   form approximated that of a Hollywood starlet with a decent rack.  What the   
   hell ... it's television after all.
