   Well that is horrifically frightening, and also a great beginning to a scifi   
   novel.   
      
   If you were a virus/bacteria, wouldn't you try to evolve in order to feast   
   on the world's most plentiful species, which just coincidentally happens to   
   be fat and juicy?  I would.
