   To be honest, reporting on hurricanes as though each one represents the end   
   of humankind is a staple of the media. Queue up the dipshit in the raincoat   
   leaning into the wind with waves crashing behind him/her. It's   
   entertainment, not news.   
      
   "Will this hurricane effectively wipe Texas off the map?" screams the   
   reporter.   
      
   "We fucking hope so!" think millions of Americans as they remain glued to   
   their cable news channel.
