Can we have an editor? I'll voluntier.              If the present group is an unmoderated group and you want to change the       status to moderated, we need to follow the Usenet procedures, which       include a discussion period and then a call for a vote. There is a       newsgroup that discusses how to make these changes.              If you DO change it moderators, please make sure there are a couple of       co-moderators. One of my favorite moderated scientific groups, on       aerodynamics and aeronautics, died because there was a single moderator       and no co-moderators. The first moderator retired and something       happened so that she wasn't on net anymore and group died for awhile.       Someone got it restarted, but without a co-moderator, something happened       to that moderator and group has been dead for a couple of years now.       Frequent posters before it died just don't know how to restart it.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
