   Hi all.   
      
   I saw a nice optical event at the beach last month, which I assume is   
   due to atmospheric distortion, but it was still a fairly dramatic sight.   
      
   Below, in their apparent positions,   
      
   M = Moon   
   C = Cloud   
   S = Shadow of the cloud   
   <--- = direction of movement of cloud and its shadow   
   h = horizon   
   r = boundary of Moon's reflection on ocean   
   b = edge of beach
